1989 searay aj starboard starter removal

does the engine have to be removed/tilted/lifted to replaced the starter in a 89 searay aj with twin 4.3's, or is there a trick to it

There is a trick, .......you have to train a small monkey to go down there and do it.

Yes it would seem so, I called the deaker and they said remove the exhaust manifold so I hope that’s going to be the fix cause I can’t get my fat hands down there
