I recently purchased a nice, solid 23ft Laguna. I got a really good deal on the boat and had only check compression, not started.

I replaced water pump kits and the usual lower unit lube. I opened all the float bowls and it seemed it was run til dry, as I did not find any fuel in the bowls.I drained the the fuel tank and there was very little fuel............I put fresh gas with Seafoam back in and drove it around on the trailer for a while, then removed all fuel again. The fuel looked good when I removed and visually inspected.

I am new to this boat obviously, and upon trying to start the port side engine, I found there was no fuel getting to the new fuel filter. I then realized there are no primer bulbs on either engine, so I looked for a fuel pump and did not find one. The boat has two fuel lines coming out of the 115 gallon tank withe ball cutoff valves on each. Scratching my head at this point. No service manual

I noticed on the console two key switches for each motor, Port and Starboard.....below these there is a two pole spring toggle. Is this a priming toggle??

Thank you for any help you may provide. Cheers

Just notice this thread. I have the 24 1994. I just hung a 250 tohatsu on it. I had the twin mercs. The bulb was underneath the bait stations. I am not in town right now (helping a friend deliver a 2018 L590). Beautiful boat! I have not heard of a priming pump switch. I'm not saying it doesn't exist. On my boat, you push the key in. It is spring loaded out. I will try to get back to you tomorrow. I will let you know if I have the switch you are talking about. Maybe you are correct and you have an older system. PM me if I forget.
