1989 34 Sundancer Vacuflush system operation...

I believe I have a vacuflush system on this vessel. It has a large white canister mounted on the bulkhead next to the holding tank and a fancy small Wildon pump below it. I just installed my new macerator pump and not sure what provides water to the toilet...I turn on the head switch on the dash and the pump starts working but not sure what it's doing if the bowl is dry...I lift the flush handle and no water goes into it (where is that valve?). I found the key to the macerator and that works...just wondering if someone could explain the system for me.

Where are you getting your water from? The water tank,or city hook up? If your on the tank is it full?

I want this head to work underway so I would fill the potable water tank? I didn't know if it had a intake valve from the hull some wheres...

Is your water working in you sink? My water only goes into the bowl if my water is on. Make sure water tank is full water is on then pull up on the toilet handle. Water should fill your bowl.

Thanks Jason....so just fill the water tank and the toilet should work...sounds easy enough.

No, fill the water tank. Turn on the switch on the dash that reads WATER. (Should be right side under ignition and blowers). Then try your kitchen or head sink. If you have water there you should have water at the toilet. If no water in the sink. You need to look at your water pump.
