I have a 88 weekender 30.It has the twin small block inboards.Does anyone know what the fuel filter part # is by the fuel tank.It is a fram cartridge filter.I really don't want to open it up to get the cartridge # off it and then leave the system opened up while I go to the store.I know the filters on the engine are just mercruiser gas/water seperators and I already got them.
Thanks

I check my '89 300DA next time I'm down to the boat. I replaced mine last fall and wrote the numbers in the manual, which is on the boat.

The fuel filter near the tank on my boat is a Fram #C1110PL. I think that is what you are looking for.

You may have a third set. My 30 had small nylon mesh screen filters just before the carburators.

If you have Quadra Jets you may have filters in the inlet part of the body where the fuel line enters. If you do make sure you use the proper size wrench and NOT PLIERS to remove and re-install...they are very fragile.

You should also have filters mounted on the engines, spin on elements.

OH I forgot to mention, Car Quest auto parts in my area carries those Fram cartridges in stock, cheaper than marine stores.

Thanks for all the replies.I do have spin ons at the engine. Those are easy to figure out what they are.I do also have filters at the q-jets.those I clean and I do have the proper wrench for.I picked up the Frams tonight at Marine Mate in Lindenhurst.they always have what you need. Will change all filters tomorrow night.Planning on heading to Zachs bay this sunday for the airshow.first trip for the boat, hope all goes OK.
