Oh my ... what a pain it is to remove this table in order to convert the dinette into the bed. There are about 20 screws where pole meets floor, and then you have to unscrew the table top from the pole. Is there an easier way to do this? Such a terrible design, almost shockingly terrible. Why not design it as a pole that simply slides down into place as the bed support? Just awful and so aggravating!

I'm not sure what "screws" you are referring to. On my dinette table, there is just a pole in a receiver, one on the table and one in the floor. This supports the table, just like ones seem in campers. Post a photo, maybe I'm not seeing it right and others can chime in.

I had a 268 years ago (a 1989) and it was supported by an aluminum post with two plastic tapered ends that were just pressure fits. It may be stuck in the mount either on the table or the floor (or both), but it will come out with some persuasion!

Yup - the pole should just slide out from both the "socket" in the floor and the "socket" on the underside of the table. But as mentioned, they may just be stuck from years of not being disassembled. Tap, twist, etc the pole as you pull it out - just don't have your face right over the pole as you do it. Once you get it out, clean everything REALLY well - spic-n-span clean. I've never had to use any type of lubricant on the poles in any of my boats - just keep it clean and remove it once in a while.
