Hello to everyone,
Ok so I recently purchased an 88 seville 18 bow rider 175 with the 4.3L mercruiser V-6. The boat appears to be in great condition hull and cosmetic wise. After purchase i took the boat to a Mercruiser shop for a look over and seasonal maint. So the took apart the out drive and noticed that water had caused rust and pitting of the gimble bearing, yokes and UJoints so I opted to replace all upper units shafts, yokes, ujoints, seals and bellows etc. I expected to have to dump some cash into the boat otherwise the previous owner wouldn't be selling it. So that being said is there anything else on the particular boat that I should look for and be aware of as far as defects or any bad habits while underway? Any input is appreciated.
