I have a 1988 Seadan Bridge with the 454 Mercruiser engines. I bought a set of manifold/risers for the port engine. The old ones were trashed and had been neglected by the previous owner. My question is about the manifold, spacer, riser gaskets. Does the manifold to spacer use a solid restricter gasket or a gasket with the four ports open? Don't want to make a mistake and trash the engine.

Thanks

You didn't mention if it was fresh water cooled or sea water cooled. If it's fresh water cooled it will be a solid gasket. If it's sea water cooled the gasket will have holes. Hope that helps.

Only a pic of the way the hoses are attached will tell for sure.
In a closed cooled system there is a half system or full system....
The gaskets will vary depending on which you have..

I have an 87 340 sedan and i have been trying for over a year to find the access point for the ac that is under the dinette. Mine was completely covered in carpet and i don't want to destroy the whole thing. It works fine right now. Any ideas?
