My '88 340 runs great except for a recent electrical problem I can't seem to solve.
Power from the shore cables to Lines 1 and 2 is working fine.
The cabin panel essentially has two main 30 amp breakers - one dedicated to the AC unit which works fine either from the shore power or if the generator is on.
The other breaker controls all the AC supply to the individual breakers for the hot water tank, AC charging unit, outlets, refrigerator etc.
The power to the control switch from shore is good and the power from the generator is also good.
But that's where it ends - when switched to the "on" position no power is transferred to the other breakers the only thing that happens is a "click" in what I think is the inverter control unit which is located behind the electrical panel. When working properly I usually hear the click and then see voltage meters come on in conjunction with breaker lights for any AC units that might be on.
Now, just a click and nothing - the only thing that shows any life is the "heart interface panel" .. which indicates a charge, the battery condition with the "overtemp" light on ! -- manual says to recharge all of the batteries (which I've done) to clear the overload - still no change.
Can anyone help me with this ?
thanks much
Larry

Turns out it was the inverter that was fooling me .. it was clicking on when the breaker/shore power switch was turned on indicating that the batteries were being charged etc ..... but was not sending power back to the main panel - for now I've by-passed the inverter and all is working fine - not sure what is wrong with the inverter (not that it ever gets used) -- a problem for another day.

thanks
Larry
