1988 160 seville outboard fuel pickup

Hi i just bought this boat the gas gauge wasnt working so i remove the sender it was rusted in the down position the tank looks good inside didnt see any rust ,I pumped out the gas as it was old ,i wanted to know if the fuel pickup had a screen on it wanted to make sure its clear thanks for any help John

seems no one answered your thread. The senders are readily available. Most are made by WEMA http://wemausa.com/. You can buy them online from any number of vendors. You will need to know the dimensions of your tank.

Pickups usually have a rock screen Just pump some fuel backwards through the pickup tube. Should clear any debris.
