I am seriously considering this model. Found one that appears to be in excellent shape. $4,250...with trailer...any thing idyllic look for? I planto"survey" her on Friday...
Thanks!

Spell check is interesting...anything I need to look for specifically?
thanks!

Be sure to check the transom for rot. Even a small spot can cause water intrusion into the boat. My Monaco has a quarter size rot spot an expert found, where transom and outdrive meet, by sounding with a peen hammer. Check the floor decks for soft spots (the fuel tank deck in particular) and be sure the helm and dash are secured to the floor. You can use an awl to prod for soft spots. This boat is likely to have plywood decks and may not show the issues on the surface. I wish I had understood that when I bought mine.

My Monaco is a great boat and would recommend it to a friend, just keep in mind there are potential problems.

Thanks. I will check it out this Friday. Owner states boat has been stored under cover since new...not sure if this is good or bad...boat is on craigslisthttp://washingtondc.craigslist.org/doc/boa/2164535793.html
It seems very well taken care of.

Looks good. Have a pro look at the hull and decks as I suggested. Is this the right engine for this boat? Have it checked closely. If you have not, you should download the original brochure from Sea Ray. This will help you determine what options you have and any standard features that have been removed or changed.

It appears the 5.7 L was the engine offered...at 200 hp I assume it is a "runabout"...lol
