I just bought the 87 300 Dancer today. They don't have any manuals. I did find an owners manual for an 1988 in the Sea Ray site. The manual seems to cover all the basics, but it refers to several other manuals. Does anyone have as source for manuals?

Thanks for any help

Jeff

Good luck with the boat. You're going to love it.
That's what I use for my 87. I haven't been able to find anything for an 87. Please let me know if you do.

1985 or 1986 to 1989 300 Sundancers are almost identical except for cosmetic differences. I think the '88 manual will do fine for you. I looked at the differences between the '88 and '89 and there aren't any.

Hey Jeff, Post up some pics. I have an 88 model 300 Weekender. Always like to see what others are doing.

I don't have a lot of good pictures yet, but here you go

Looks alot like mine, you'll love all the room and the surprising performance for a boat of its size.

This post has some manuals listed. Most of the manuals for the assorted "accessories" were seperate in a owners binder. If you are specific on the ones you need, some of mine may be the same. I'm sure there is another owner who has them and may be able to scan them. I have a friend with a 88 300 weekender. He may be able to help. Which one do you need?

I have the same boat, but without the arch. Some previous owner remeoved the stripes on mine. I've though about putting some back on, but I'd have to custom make them because I don't think they are available anywhere.
Could you post some pictures showing the stripes down the sides? Most I come across around here don't have them anymore either.

Very similar Jeff No arch on mine, PO removed the stripes. When was the last time you saw your boat?

Great boat! Looks REALLY Familiar for some reason!! I have the stripes from the window back. The PO pressure washed them off on the bow and I've been trying to decided if I should put them back on or remove them! I'd like to see pictes WITHOUT them!

Any of you guys replaced the carpet with Allure or some other product?

I have not had the chance to take some good pictures yet with the crappy weather we are having. Will get some and post when I can. Which stripes are you looking for? Top or bottom.

Also, I went down to fiddle with the boat for a couple hours today, and Eureka, I found most of the manuals tucked away in a drawer I had not opened. So the biggy I need is the one for the Cruiseair system.

I do have a question regarding the AC system. The temp control does not seem to allow me to change the temp up, only down. Also in a few minutes I get a P5 LO message then it shuts down. Looking at the SMX II control book on Cruseairs website, I am guessing that means I have low freon or something? Any help would be appreciated.

You must have a newer AC than the origional. Mine has no digital display, only three knobs, top is on/off, middle is fan speed, bottom is thermostat. Seems to work well enough but is a bit sensitive. There is a component, don't know its name, that switches between heat and A/C, that may need serviced/replaced.

Mine is the same as yours, and I believe it to be original to the boat.
I've had the boat for a couple of years now and still have one thing that I can't figure out.
Mine has two AC vents on the port side of the cabin.
The first is forward up in the forward berth.
The second is located just inside the cabin, above a small locker/closet. It's this one that puzzles me.
There is a toggle switch alongside this vent. When you flip it on a little green indicator light comes on. I have no idea what this toggle switch controls. The flow of air is the exact same no matter what the position of the switch.
Does your boat gave this?
BYW: I think it is a poor design because there is no vent in the aft berth which is where my wife and I sleep. I have a small electric fan that I leave running on top of the dinette table and aim it in to the aft berth when we sleep aboard. It does an excellent job of forcing the cold AC back at us, but you'd think Searay would have put a vent back there.

JVM, Mine doesn't have that switch but it DOES have an A/C vent in the aft cabin, just to your right as you enter. It has swivel louvers and can be closed off to regulate air flow. I have a toggle switch in the head next to a key switch for the macerator, it says SHOWER, I've turned it on and I have no idea what it controls as nothing happens.

Mine has a vent by the dining table where it is located blowing forward, the other vent is in the mid (aft) birth, so it is opposite of yours. I am going to the Marina this weekend, and will ask the maintenance guys what they know about this darn thing. I am guessing it is low on freon on the low pressure side, but who knows.

Jeff

My boat also has a A/C vent in the foreward berth area just like the one in the aft cabin.

I got robbed! I don't have a/c, but then again I guess we don't need it either!

Great boats though!!!
