Over the winter I decided to give my 1987 268 Sundancer a dash overhaul. The old dash was rotted in a few places and the vinyl was showing signs of the same. Plus I wanted to mount the GPS in the dash. Although I work as a network administrator, I work in a machine shop with access to a lot of the machines and was able to commandeer the laser etch machine for a weekend. Using illustrator I was able to design the new dash to my liking and threw in the Sea Ray logo and the boat name as an added bonus. Here are a few pics from old to new. Just a few more screws and wire connections.

WOW! Absolutely awesome.

I wasn’t going into this thinking about making money just wanted to show off my custom dash but wow. The thing with charging to do these custom dash panels is I would not be able to add the Sea Ray logo on your panels because now I would be infringing on Sea Ray’s Logo which I’m sure is a registered Trademark. I knew what I wanted and spaced out my new layout accordingly. I really don’t know what you would be looking for. I could mock the exact layout of your original dash. This would best be done over the winter while your boat is out of the water being that I would like to have your dash panels prior because I cannot be so sure as to say the panels have the exact dimensions even though they come from the same era boat. Being in a machine shop environment I learned to always measure and never assume. Thank you all for you feedback

Looks Great! I am going to need to do this soon, the plastic facing is beginning to crack.

Looks Great! I really like the wood grain look over the black plastic. With the new gauges, it has a nice updated look....

WOW!!! Where the heck is my LIKE Button!!!

First off, excellent work! Looks very factory! Very impressive...
As an alternative I have had good success with Plexiglass.
Here's our Amberjack with the original panel.

Here's the new panel-

It's just a piece of Plexiglass that was painted black on the back and cut out for instruments and the Lowrance.

Here's the current boat's panel before-

This is the same boat but we made new plexiglass panels...we obviously installed new backlit switches, Lowrance, new gauges, etc. But the panel itself is plexiglass with a carbon fiber wrap. Very cheap and it brings the boat into the 21st century.

I'm not trying to hijack, hoping to just show some good alternatives.

Again, the OP has taken it beyond what I did for sure.
