Last summer I purchased a 1987 250 CC. The previous owner rebuilt the seating in the stern. He made a new engine cover and mounted the two side seats onto boxes. To make them fit, he removed the two wood strips that originally supported the seats. I'd like to restore the original setup as it is cumbersome to get to the swim platform now that you can't simply just remove a cushion. Does anyone have pictures they can share to help me restore this? Do you know if Sea Ray can give guidance if I provide them with a hull number? Any help will be appreciated.

You could try looking in the archive section on SR's website - it'll have a scanned image of the original brochure for your boat. If you get lucky, one of the pics will be what you need.

Thanks for the reply. I've been there but the document they have doesn't show enough detail. I want to restore the engine cover and seats to original design and need a schematic or drawing to know how the engine cover was designed and attached to back panel.

Here is a pic of the original setup. i will be at the lake next weekend and will get some measurements and closeup pics of the four teak supports on each side that support the jump seats. Let me know if you need anything else and I will get them while I am there.

Thank you so much! If you can get a picture of the engine cover with the seat removed, that would be great. There are holes in the vinyl behind the engine cover seat, so it appears that something was attached to the back panel. Is it hinged in some manner? Also, do you know why that back bolster is mounted via a hinge and has a tie-down snap? With the setup I have, it doesn't make sense.
