Looking for any comments about this model, etc. I'm looking at possibly buying one with the 350v8/mercruiser.I know one thing; It will suck more fuel than my little 2.3 OMC !:wow:

Edit: Guess I should have posted this in the newbie lounge

It only sucks more fuel when it's running! What I've noticed with a bigger boat is that we no longer use it to ski or tube behind. There is a lot more stopped time and we seem to use less fuel over all. Think of all the extra horsepower you've got now too!

We love our '88 230CC. I have the7.4L and it's not as bad as we thought it would be on fuel. It takes constant TLC. I'm attempting to redo the teak now.I had to replace ALL electrical components and rebuild the carb. Has the boat been maintained or was she sitting ?

I put a deposit down on the boat today. I can't find a 1987cc on the Sea Ray website. There is an '88 listed for that model though.
Anyway, the boat has been used regularly. It's in overall good shape. The motor has new intake manifold, exhaust manifolds (alum),starter, water pump, alternator, cap & wires. It also comes with a 2007 Venture trailer.
