First off I'd just like to say Hello! My name's Andrew and I'm brand new to the forum. I've been lurking between here and hulltruth for a while now and felt like showing off my latest project..

She's a 1986 Sea Ray Sundancer 268.. I recently purchased her from Ohio August of 2015. Got an absolute steal for her (I think). Overall the boat is fairly sound. Everything seems to be in somewhat fair order. The port side motor was blown upon purchase, although the starboard side runs strong. No other huge issues that I know of yet, but we know how these things go.

So far I have currently pulled both motors and out drives. I have the port side motor being rebuilt to shortblock and debating on what to do with the second motor still.

^^As you can see, I have a lot of degreasing ahead of me.

Both outdrives seem to be decent shape. I plan of just stripping down and painting, new impeller, new hardware, new fluid, etc

Well, that's about all I have for now. I am constantly working on this project so I will try to update with pics as much as I can. I have a ton more pics as well if anyone would like to see something in particular. Other than that, thanks for looking!

Awesome project! Best of luck and welcome to the forum.

Just a few more pics of engine(s) and outdrive painting...

Had the one motor block and head decked. Cylinders were bored 30 over, polished crank, new pistons/rings/etc. Still deciding on what to do with the second motor. I think I will replace the main bearings and possibly piston rings while I have it pulled.

Got around to sanding/priming the lower halves of the outdrives today as well. Hopefully get new impellers installed tomorrow and final coat of paint. Also some shots of the props polished up.
