Which fuel tanks supply fuel to the generator? My sport fish has 4 tanks. I do have a valve that reads Starboard and Port. I am having problems starting generator

I thought the sport fish had the same hull, engine, tank layout as my 390 express. Two 150 gallon fuel tanks with the generator feeding off the starboard tank. I also have the port/starboard crossover valve. The starboard tank has separate filters for the main engine and generator.

I also heard that the pick up is higher up so I can't suck the tank dry. Leaving enough gas in tank to drive boat.

Yes,
I have 4 100 gal tanks. I didn't know if it was pulling from the forward or aft tanks. I am not going to the boat until Fri and thought I would try to get some info while at home.

I did check to see if it was pumping fuel which it is. I have to keep start button depressed to keep it running. As soon as I let off the gen dies. I did notice that I had blown the ignition fuse on the panel.

I had to have the board replaced on mine, its diesel but if they get wet they fry.I had a detailer clean the bilge,he said he got the genny wet and the pump started running after that i had to hold the start switch to keep it running, until the new board was installed. It also may be a problem in the switch so check that first.

Onan. I took the boat out this weekend.....Had to fire up the portable Honda. I did make a call to a local mobile mechanic which I have used before. Meeting him Sat morning at the boat. Hopefully he can figure it out.

I have a 6.5 onan. I have to adjust the carb jets constantly to keep it from hunting or bogging down with load. I have also had problems with the choke.

I had it checked today. He checked all sensors which are working. Both plugs are firing but, on the sides. They appear to be fouled. I need to locate new plugs and wires for replacement.

My plugs and wires are an aviation style not regular plugs at all. I have a 1987 onan 6.5 i think its an "h" series. What brand and model plug did you get?

The mechanic checked everything out yesterday and said that it runs good at high rpms. It dies at low rpms. He thinks it's a carburetor issue. Looking for some suggestions
