Fuel pump died in my Sea Ray, and the oil is milky /fuel fouled because the diaphragm blew. I was thinking I would drain the oil, and put on a new filter and oil run it , drain it, and put on another fuel filter and fresh oil. Is there a better way? Thoughts?

Thanks!

Bill

Do that and keep checking it. If it stays milky water is getting in somewhere

Thanks Ike. I agree, but it's baffling because the motor really runs great, no missing, and there is no water in the cylinders.

Yes it can be really baffling. I had the same problem about 5 or 6 years ago. Milky oil. No water in the cylinders. I couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Engine ran fine. To cut a long story short: The gasket between the manifold and the riser was leaking. You may have to do what I did. After many trials and errors I finally took it to a pro who found the leak.
