Hi all- In the process of removing all the teak on the bow and have sanded and put teak oil on all the wood. The problem I am having is that the screw holes into the bow will not hold the wood down. Is there an easy fix for this? I have in the past used epoxy and hardener and just dipped the screws into that and it seemed to work ok. Should I fill the holes with epoxy and sawdust ( I heard of this before) and wait for them to harden and then put in new screws? Or just buy bigger screws? What is the correct way to do this? Thanks for all the help and happy boating to all!

IMO I like you second option. The last boat I had with real teak was my 1988 VIP Victory and I took all my teak off sanded it and replaced all the screws with new stainless screws. I actually wrapped the thread past of the screw with teflon tape on the screws that did not hold. It works for a while but needed redone every year.
