In the process of replacing the anchor, cuddy, and transom hatches - unfortunately, the people in the shop THREW THEM OUT before capturing the dimensions for the rebuild!! Unbelievable!

Please, Please... anyone with the same boat and/or ability to give me input regarding the dimensions and scratch refab process would be much appreciated. The intention is to rebuild with starboard and teak trim as original, also need to get the stainless piano hinges and latch hardware (anchor hatch).

Thanks!

Mark

OK... so I'm not getting very far with this.. over 75 reads and no input.... but I did find a '75 that I captured dimensions off of.. and I'm thinking that I will fabricate them from star board, skip the teak trim, and buy new piano hinges... if anyone has any recommendations on this approach, regarding thickness 1/2 vs 3/4 or otherwise, I'd be very appreciative.

I just made new hatch covers for mine using 3/4" bronze acrylic, this replaced the OE 3/4" ugly white covers that were on the boat. I bought a 24" x 48" piece locally for $240. I used my table saw and router to fit them to the boat.

Keep in mind if you use starboard there won't be any light let through the cover, IMO it would be nice to use a translucent materail to allow some light through.

I hated the "cutting boards" they used for hatches so I made new ones from mahogany with teak trim
I still have the original acrylic one off the anchor locker (minus the hinge) ...if you want it.. just pay the shipping and it's yours if it will fit
but I can't imagine it being different

Hello Luckie Strike,
I am restoring a 1979 SRV 220 Cuddy Cruiser Overnighter. I don't know if I can help but anything I can do let me know, (photos or dims. or whatever) let me know.
I am looking for some good photos of the interior of a Overnighter as my interior needs to be rebuilt. Do you know of any one who might have any photos?
Thanks,
Don,

Don:

Thanks a ton for the offer... I did finally complete my project and am really satisfied with the results... Sorry I can't help you with the Overnighter pics as mine is the straight CC... but if I come across anything I'll let you know. BTW... if you need stainless bow rails, teak handrails on bow, or the smaller teak swim platform, let me know and I'd be happy to make a deal with you as I have these parts in "inventory".

Best Regards,

Mark

I have a 1977 srv220 ov hardtop. I'm looking for the stainless steel braces for the small swim platform. Are those available?

Metabo

Metabo - I do have the small swim platform with one fully intact integrated brace/grabrail.... the other sheared at the screwhole and is not functional.... the rest of it is in good shape. If you're interested - make me an offer for the whole thing (platform, ladder, brace/grabrail), in the interim, I'll take a picture and post it...

Best Regards,

Mark
