So i just invested on a 1978 Searay i know its 20 Feet long because thats what it says on the title.... Im under the impression it has the Chevy 305 inboard motor but still not sure if its a sunrunner srv200 or just a regular srv 200 or maybe neither!!! The interior needs some new fiberglass in the bottom and the motor is out of the boat. The guy helping me is very knowledgable, but i wanted to do some inventigative work myself... Im new to the boating community other than enjoying a couple weekends with friends. First im cleaning the entire interior to prep for the fiberglass and im also pressure washing the entire exterior... anything i should know about these boats specifically? The motor originally ran but has been sitting for 8 years and the pistons are locked up. He told me hes pretty sure the heads and top are fine its something in the lower end that needs work, caps? rods?.... Help me get my old 1978 searay running...
