1978 24' CC Sea Ray

New to the club. Just purchased (at auction), the above boat. It needs TLC which I have started but the biggest challenge I see is the out-drive tilt motor/pump. I believe I need to buy & install a new one but have been told so many things by so many boaters I'm not sure who to believe. I have been told a new pump will work but I don't know which pump to use or where to buy it. Anyone have a suggestion? The second issue is someone installed what looks like an automotive electric fuel pump. Again, I have been told to go back to the original system. Am looking for some photos or advice on how to go about this. I am located in Yakima County, Washington. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I love that boat. I had same 1980. Great hull. Had 454 Bravo drive. Should never have sold it.
