I would like to upgrade my trailer to a tandem axel trailer. Does anyone have any thoughts on brands? I will probably talk to the local Sea Ray dealer, but wondered if there are any better outside of that, that dont cost as much as the boat.

Why not find yourself a nice used trailer? They can be found everywhere on C-list, and will cost a fraction of new.
Concerning branding, I can't imagine that there is a huge disparity between quality of materials or workmanship on modern trailers. It is after all, just a box steel A frame with straight axles and spring suspension. That technology has been around for 100 years. Virtually all of the brake, suspension, wheel/tire and axle components are made by or shared by the same companies. You really can't go wrong when buying new either way. But I would still consider used first...that is, if you are on a budget. If money is no object, buy the most expensive trailer you can find. And just an FYI...Sea Ray, and any other boat manufacturer, do not make trailers. They just have their respective names attached to the trailer.
