19' 1973(?) 305 Mercruiser First boat!

my buddy and I split this boat. This is my first after I helped him work on his. What should I do as far as maintenance/preventative maintenance to get RELIABLE service from this boat. Also what can I expect in terms of top speed/power from this engine? Ultimately we want to redo the interior (big surprise right?) bring the boat's maintenance up to speed and sell it. Any idea what this would fetch with an after market interior in NE ohio?

No one has any idea what maintenance I need to do to bring this up to speed?

I's start by changing all the fluids,complete tuneup and changing the impeller in the outdrive

Looks like a 1976 which is what I have. Check out my picture on my profile. Your engine is different and mine is a cuddy style. My fuel cell takes up most of the cuddy though. Your dask and layout of the seats are very simular.

You better double check the year, the int. looks like 1978(had one) and they didnt put 305's in them until 77 I think.
