185 owners - Where do you store your anchor?

Getting my anchor, chain and rope out of the ski locker is a pain in the butt and I'm just wondering if anyone has any creative alternatives.

Problems:
-Water Skis, boards, etc always end up on top of the anchor, rope and chain.
-Small boat means there is almost always something blocking the ski locker from opening (bag, cooler, etc)
-Chain and rope get moldy/rusty

I wish there was some sort of anchor storage in the bow somewhere, I'll know what to look for in the next boat.

Am I just being lazy?

I had a 1995 175 BR and it had locker storage under the front bow seat that was perfect for the anchor. I can't believe a 2007 boat does not have storage for an anchor?

There is storage under the two front bow seats, but they are too small for a typical fluke/danforth anchor big enough to hold this boat. I think its like a 10 or 12 pound that came with the boat (from marine max).

My 04 185 has an anchor locker in the bow so the bow anchor stays there, the stern anchor stays behind the passenger seat. The loss of the anchor storage in the bow was one thing I do not like about the new design 185.

I keep mine under the sunpad in the back on the starboard side.

I keep mine in the front left bow storage...sure am glad I got my boat before they changed the design. I would agree with you though, it would suck to have to pull the anchor out of the ski locker.
