just wondering if anyone has seen the 175 with a tower. I notice in the 2010 brochure it is now listed as an option.

Save yourself the money and buy a Monster tower. Don't get one from Searay... ripoff.

I've had monster towers in the past, I'm not buying a 175. just curious - i've seen towers on the pre face lifted 175 but not the current model.

Just posted a topic today with my 1995 that I installed an Aerial tower on. It came out pretty good.

After I bought my boat I realized that Sea Ray didn’t have a lot of options for the 175 that it has for the 185. Makes me regret getting the 175 a little bit. Although, I’m learning that it’s FAR more economical to go aftermarket rather than with the dealer on upgrades.

I’ve been doing A LOT of research regarding towers for the 175 Sport. I’ve narrowed mine down to a Winch Tower and a Monster Tower. Originally I was looking at the Aerial Airborne Tower, but really didn’t like how big and boxy the top of it was. I thought it would look very awkward on such a small boat. So I looked elsewhere.

I like the looks of the Winch better than the Monster, but they seem like a mom and pops type of place. Not that that’s a bad thing, but I’m not sure how they’re customer service will be if I need something fixed or replaced. You can’t really go wrong with the Monsters from what I’ve read and been told. I just think their towers are a little “bland” aesthetically.

Here is a link to the Winch.

I’ll post pics and write up a review once I decide who I’m going with and install the tower. Won’t be until this winter though.

Good luck in your search and I’ll post pics as soon as I get the project done!

+2 on Monster. If you go to wakeboarder.com and search Monster, you will get nothing but incredible reviews for product and company.

They are plain, yes, but I like the simple lines for the SR boats...

I almost went with the monster as well. Got a better deal from H20 Sports Wearhouse on ebay for the Aerial Assault. Since mine is a 1995 I did not want to spend an extreme amount. FOr the monster, you can find better prices on other sites selling monster products than on monsters own site. However if you email them, they will match it.

Zuhl..got any pics? Id like to see how the A tower looks on the 175

Thanks! See thread identified above. Unfortunately I have no pics of it before I installed the bimini. I went with the Aerial because it was cheaper (but not cheap) and it had that bimini that I really liked. The ski attachment protrudes through the top. It has no flex or creaking to it. To make the load plates that the nuts screw down on distribute the load better I used a big old wad of liquid nails that hardened between it and the fiberglass to make a continuous interface and eliminate stress concentrations.
