15% Ethanol

I read an article in today's WSJ that our great government is thinking about increasing ethanol in gas from 10% to 15% - more testing is being done, but where there's smoke there's fire. My guess is the ethanol lobby is more powerful than the marine/boat lobby.

Has anyone else heard about this and what are the prospects something like this gets passed into law. Maybe the explosive emails on how the environmentalists manipulated data will slow down the need to go green

I thought CO was already at 15%?

I don't know a single service manual from Merc that recommends anything above 10% and they do state engine concerns above that amount... as in warranty issues...
 
I bet if they could mix water in it and still tax it they would.

In fact I bet they will figure out a way to tax air.
