12V Power Outlets not working

I have an 03' 240 Sundancer. I have 2 outlets one in the cabin and one by the captain chair. I find it odd that neither one works. I can get everything to turn on in the boat either plugged into shore power or on the battery power exept for these two outlets.

What am I missing?

Assuming you checked the breaker? On mine it's on a panel under the helm.
If so, check the wiring. My cockpit one did the same when I bought my boat. I took it out and it looked fine but did not work. No power to it with a tester. Wiring looked good at that end. In the end I found out the wiring was not good but the problem was buried in the connecter that attached to the socket. The wire was not crimped to the connector properly but the issue was hidden in the connector. It looked like it probably arced and burnt the few wire threads that were working. It was not immediately visible when I checked the first time. I replaced the connectors and it worked fine ever since.

Disregard...just realized you were talking about 12V outlets & not 120V

Thank you, I did replace the outlet by the sink and replaced the connectors but still nothing. I will call my guy out to trouble shoot them.

First, where is the source of power? Is it the battery or is there a power panel or fuse block the sockets are wired to? Check at the source for power. Then check at the other end of the wire; at the socket. If there is power at the source and no power at the other end it is either a broken wire, or a bad connector. Both are common. If you have power at the wire on the socket but no power in the socket itself then the contacts in the socket are probably corroded. Replace the socket.

One of the most common causes of no power is bad connections. Connections often corrode. Sometimes the corrosion is not visible. You have to take it apart, clean all the surfaces and put it back together. Also if the connector was not put on the wire with a good solid connection it could have worked loose just from motion, vibration, etc. Check all connections.
