Newbie here - about to trade my 37 formula for a 07 44DA with Cummins 500's (160 hours). Survey results came back showing the MAX RPMS FULL LOAD are supposed to be between 2650 - 2700 RPM's, actual was port 2650 and stb 2640. Boat had some algae growth on all the brass below, and are waiting to make sure the boat is propped to factory spec. In mean time, any thoughts if I have a bigger issue here - know few people with same boat / engines and they are running right in middle of published range. Any thougths appreciated.:smt100

I see no problem. Any growth on the bottom and gear will cost you those few rpms.
Did the engines turn up to max NO LOAD rpm's?

Forget about propping to "factory spec"- that's a good guide, but every boat's different. You'd be surprised (or maybe not) how much crap some people have/accumulate aboard their boats. Bottom line is you want to get to 2700, preferably a little above, fully loaded. Clean the bottom, and take her for another ride.

Sounds too close to worry about, and symmetrical. I'm not the pro, but that seems very normal.

I believe the max wot rpm for those engines should be 2600 rpm and not 2700 rpm. Anybody else here agree?

My '07 44 Sedan Bridge with 500's hits 2700 only after a cleaning and a fresh coat of propspeed.

See actual readings attached taken this summer on a beautiful day with a light 3-5 mph breeze and a 2-4" chop in Buzzard's Bay.

For the sea trial, was the boat fully loaded with fuel, water, stuff and people?

Thanks for the input everyone - boat was pressure washed but bottom was still not "clean" - green hue to the bottom and brass was still "Green" - (boat was on north shore of LI and looks like it sat for a while). Boat had half fuel and virtually no gear.

I have an '07 44DA and my WOT was 2680 with both tanks at about 90% with 4 people and a big dog aboard.
