07 260 engine hatch

IN the Aft seat storage there should be a Access lid. Unscrew this and you will see the ram top with a pin you can pull. You will need a couple buddies to help you lift the hatch manually

You should have a power cord in your owner's packet. It looks like a cigarette lighter plug with a couple of wires hanging off of it. Attach the black and red wires to a battery sitting on the deck and plug it into the lighter socket in the storage box under the throttle. I think you need to have the battery switch on to make it work. Remember to open the transon door or the lift won't work.

Let me know if it works. I leave my batteries on the boat all winter and have never needed to use it.

What Zorba is talking about is the absolute last resort. That hatch is heavy. You can easily lose fingers if you let it drop on them. If you do lift it manually, put a small piece of 2x4 on the deck and slide it under the hatch as soon as you get it high enough for the block to fit. I did this one day just to see if I could get it open by myself if I ever had to. I managed it while tied to the dock, but I doubt that I could if I was at anchor with the boat pitching and rolling around.

You could purchase one of those jumpstart power packs with a cigarette adapter. That would supply you with the juice needed to lift the hatch. That's what they use at my marina when the batteries are disconnected for the Winter.
