05 420 DA Prop Size

I know this topic has been covered before but I would like some recent info if possible.
I recently purchased an 05 Dancer with 480CE Cummins that had a valve seat drop before my purchase. I would like to reduce the prop pitch as I believe it is over loaded. Has anyone done this that could give real world numbers after the prop change?
Also I am looking for the pitch used on the 420 in 04 with the 450 engines.

I recently purchased a 2004 420 DA with Cummins 6CTA - 8.3 M3 engines (450s)
According to my survey: props have 4 blades and are bronze alloy. Manufacturer unknown. Diameter and pitch of 22 x 25. Port is LH and Starboard is RH.

Thanks for the info. I have 22x27 props and have read many threads on the need to prop like a 450 cummins to save the engines. What RPM works best for your cruise and what speed?

I haven't driven our 2004 420 enough to to give you accurate numbers, but on smooth water we are cruising at 2100 RPM at 21 knots +/- A friend who has been in the marine business a long time told me that with our Cummins engines we can use the tach as "a speedometer" e.g. The 21(00) RPM = 21 knots. I have experimented a bit and this is close to true.
