Dock mate has a 320 and the fresh water pump constantly cycles and blows water out the side vent. Any idea what is causing this?

Thanks!

By side vent, it sounds like you're referring to the hot water heater pressure relief valve thru-hull. The hot water heater will purge just like a home hot water heater when (if) the pressure builds too high. In this case, though, it seems like it's happening a lot, which shouldn't be the case. Most likely it's simply a failing pressure relief valve. Or, it was propped in the open position during winterizing (to help drain the heater faster) and was never flipped back down.

Ok, that explains why the water was warm. I'll have him check that out tomorrow. Thanks!!

They will blow off if they reach to high of a temperature also, but this is very uncommon unless maybe it has a heating coil from an engine and that engine overheats.
