Hi all. New Sundeck owner here. We had a ton of rain this week, so I decided to search for leaks...and found a big one. Looks like the driver's cup holder drain is leaking, and drained into the captured space behind the instruments/steering wheel. I have fixed the leak (cracked and broken hose) but had some questions.

- First...should I just run the drain to the compartment where the table/etc is stored? I cannot see a drain to the bilge from this compartment, but I assume there is one. I don't know where the orig tube ran since it had broken off and when I removed the cup holder to replace it fell out. I do see that I could run it to the side where the electronic wires come through the liner, but I have an aversion to water + electronics lol!
- Second...it seems strange to me that there is a space where water could collect anyway! There is no obvious way for water to get out of this piece, it appears to be glued on/sealed from the outside, creating a spot where water can collect in cases like mine. Does anyone see any issue with a small weep hole at the bottom (existing to the cockpit floor)? Then if water did get in in the future it would just drain out and no harm no foul. I figure external is better than a hole to the interior compartment since this is the electronics area and the piece is glued on externally anyway.

Thanks in advance! So far super nice boat...well thought out and great family cruiser/living room

Everything drains down to the bilge through a well-engineered set of tubes and drain holes. Sea Ray did a good job with that system.

I agree...every compartment seems to have good drainage, etc. Normally if the drain worked (i.e. the tube had not broken) then it would have drained out. But since it didn't water got to a spot that I don't think water normally can get...hence the question. Just trying to figure out where to lead the replaced drain so that it gets to the bilge...from there I know it will go away just fine.
