When I press the windlass dash button, the little green light lights up. It never seems to go out, not by pushing the dash button a second time. How does it work for the rest of you?
I would think you would be able to do a second press to de-activate the circuit.
If this is abnormal, any ideas on how to diagnose it?

When I press the power button to turn on the anchor the green light comes on and the anchor up/down buttons on the dash and on the bow work. When I press this same button again the green light goes off and the anchor up/down buttons at the dash and at the bow do nothing.

I think you have a issue but I do not know how you can fix it. There must be a rely somewhere that is not working.

I spent $200 and several hours chasing down my windless light that would not go out when the switch was toggled.

I contacted SeaRay and Mark Muntz told to check the windless relay in my e.r. and so for .50 cents I bought a new blade fuse for my relay switch and the light went on & off like it is supposed to...........

Good job Bill!

It does sound like a relay issue.

Where in the engine room is this relay fuse?
