My engine runs fine at idle/low rpms, but when I go to give it a little juice a continuous alarm goes on and the engine pretty much chokes out. It is not overheating as i've changed out the thermostat and even had a heat sensor gun pinned on it, running well within temperature range. I was told it may be a computer issue but I can't a guy out for diagnostics for at least 2 weeks. Any ideas as to what may be causing this? bad sensors???

What's your water pressure reading at idle?

I had a similar case as my water pressure sensor went bad and caused the alarm to go off and engage the engine guardian system.
