01 180 bow rider transducer installation

Anyone installed a shoot through the hull depth sounder transducer on a 180 bow rider. I'm looking for a spot on the hull that is a single layer of fiberglass and not sandwiched. Is the bilge area under / around the engine compartment single layer?

Hi Scott,
I have a 1994 180 br which came with a shoot thru transducer. It never worked right. I installed a transom mounted transducer and never had a problem in 14 years.
