Recently purchased out of water. Just launched and only issue I have is I don’t have a depth reading on everything. Guessing transducer since all electronics all have no reading. All factory electronics installed. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Source for new one? TIA!

Transducers do go bad on a 17 year old boat, it's not out of the realm of possibilities. My boat is a 2004, too. An out of water purchase wouldn't have shown a bad transducer. Changing a transducer in the water can be done. It is hilarious in hindsight. Everyone should do it at least once.

Good luck.

Before you pull the boat to install a new transducer, try a new transducer by plugging it into the input socket for your screen. Hang it over the edge of the boat and see if you get a reading. If yes, install it. If no, keep looking for the problem. Our boat was near a lighting strike that back fed power from our flag pole into the water and then into our boat. It fried the transducer. Tech came to our dock and determined the problem in less than an hour. We drove the boat to a nearby marina and a tech did the install from the Travel Hoist.
