Well, I haven't been paying attention or I would have posted here a long time ago.
We bought our '07 205 Sport in February of 2007 and had to wait until April to get it out on the lake and enjoy it.
We've got the 5.0 carb engine. Takes two or three tries to get it going when cold, but...
Thanks a bunch, I'll give Eric a call at Lake Union Sea Ray (Seattle I assume by the phone number).
Sorry for the "ordinary" reason to replace the seats, next time I'll embelish the story.
Do you not have that seat already?
Thanks for all the input guys!
Nope, I have the standard bucket seats without the bolster. It was a $400 option if I would have ordered the boat, but we bought it at the Seattle boat show and they had no 205's with the bolster seat option, otherwise I...
Does anyone have a good source for factory SeaRay parts? What we're looking for is to buy one of the bucket seats for our 205 Sport, the one with the thigh-rise bolster. THe local dealer wants $775 + shipping for one seat.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.
OK, went ahead an drilled the hole for the water temp sensor high up on the transom under the swim platform (the ware isn't visible at all when the boat is in the water.
Wired everything up (air and water temp sensors), connected the in-hull transducer, mounted it inside the hull just in...
Congratulations! We took delivery of our 2007 205 Sport in March. We've been waiting for the good weather up here in Seattle. Looks like it's finally coming. We've only got 5.3 hours on the boat so far, need to up that number big time.
We also use a dry storage facility. It is nerve...
Put us in the category of one of those foreign jobs.
We tow with a VW Touareg. Between the air suspension that keeps everything level and the 310hp V8, it tows our little boat quite nicely. We have a ways to go before we approach the 7700 lb towing limit though with our little boat.
Thanks beerman. April 17th will be here in no time.
We have 64 degrees here in Seattle today. Too bad I have a job, or I'd be ticking off some of those break-in hours.
Actually if I didn't have a job, I wouldn't have the boat...hmmm.
And here's another pic, just to keep you all...
Hi all,
Quick question. I've purchased a Faria Depth Finder that also read the water and air temperature from two additional sensors. I went with an in-hull transducer for the depth just because I'm not excited about drilling holes in a brand new boat and don't want to worry about bumping a...
Thanks for the compliments and starting tips. It's been awhile since I've had anything with a carb on it, except for a lawn mower.
Actually that wasn't me in the picture, it was Carl. He works at the marina. Helped us back the 8'6" wide trailer down the 9'0" wide ramp.
It's in their...
Splash Date for our new 205 Sport was 3/3/07 in Lake Washington.
The Missus and I grew up with boats, this is the first boat of our own. Took me a bit to figure out the cold start procedure, may have flooded it or the carb bowl may have just been empty. We'll see how we do on future adventures.
