Ok looked at boat the boat body itself is in good condition overall... needs compounding/waxing and teak sanded and oiled. carpet is nice couldnt feel any water or soft spots, sump was dry. BUT... while running under load bubbles were forming under valve cover so i figure valve cover...

oh i would still need electronics like depth/ fish finder and gps (even though i have a magellan xl) and some sea to land radio... any suggestions on good quality stuff on tighter budget would be appreciated... thanks again guys hopefully soon i'll be a sea ray cruiser owner also

Great tip.... I'll see if he will let me do that. He has all maintenance records and replaced the batteries every year. (Hes a retired aircraft mechanic, so understands maintenance) anything else i can check without "destroying" things? I'm used to checking small ski and bass boats, so this...

Hi all, this will be my first sea ray cruiser, anything i should watch out for in general? worried of mechanical conditions for those years i want to go out 30 miles offshore and fish for the weekend found a couple of deals for 24' sundancer 245 1984 under 10k thanks for any info

Great info MWPH by offshore i mean go out 30 miles for the weekend and come back in.. not really a big deal around here we usually do it with a 20 foot fishing boat... anyway thanks for the link

its 23' from what i can find in the sea ray archives it looks just like the 1985 srv230 I run NADA price on it and come up with $5,700 with all the additions i can think of that it has. This boat is pretty basic bare boned, no gps, depth finder or cb radio. It does have a small stereo in it...

yes i found it under 85... but he swears the title says 84

this will be my first sea ray purchase, yet i cannot find any info or specs on 84 weeekender. it is in good condition with a 260 mercruiser in it. i wanted to be able to go offshore for the weekends and fish and get out of the sun. You guys have any thoughts/ recomendations/ worries on this...
