My 1997 SD 330 has Merc 454s-no genny and does not carry a lot of extra weight. I just had the impellers replaced. The engine temp on both engines is still 175 degrees after warm-up and running at 3300 rpm. They have about 400 hours on them. That seems hot to me. Should I be concerned?

Am I missing something? If the head door is open and a grandchild turns the lock to the locked position AND the port is dogged down AND the child slams the door leaving no one in the head; how do we open the door? The latch/lock is attached to the door with hardware that is on the inside.

I have 454 Mercs with two tachs and a "sync" gage. The starboard tach has started showing big numbers, about double what is really happening. At the same time the "sync" gage is OK. Port tach appears fine. Anyone know what to do? Thanks.

There are two air vents at the bottom of the door that allow a fair amount of water to spill out on the cabin floor when showering. Is there any reason I shouldn't install a louver on the inside to keep the water in the head?
