I replaced my (4) standard stairs with teak ones and don't need the original ones anymore. From my 2004 340da. Perfect condition, $100 for the four plus shipping.

Does it seem worthwhile to change all the fluids midseason on my twin 8.1's?
No reason, other than preventative maintenance. I've had the boat for two years and am thrilled to say I have not had one single issue and desperately want to keep it that way!
There's about 225 hours on the engines...
First of all, I know this has been discussed but as there are always new products on the market it doesn't hurt to start a new thread.
Second of all, I know this may not be the right section to post ("Electrical" or "Modifications" maybe?) but it potentially applies to everyone with a boat and...
The acrylic rectangular table that came with my 340 just did not fit right for a C shaped cockpit seating, especially since the fore side of the seating is shorter than the aft.
So I fooled around with a cardboard template and came up with this angled shape and had Rich Goodale of Goodale Marine...
My Raymarine SL72 on my 340 is vertical/portrait alignment but all the new chartplotters are landscape wide view. I'd like a good sized replacement but i'd have to modify the dash with a starboard fill in piece, etc. It would be a lot easier if there was a large view vertical type GPS on the...
Sorry for asking a question that has probably been answered many times but I couldn't get any hits on the search feature.
Anyway, I used to leave my gas tank full for the winter, on the theory that a full tank will eliminate water vapor from forming, to ward off ethanol problems, and never had...
This is a very "big" topic, meaning there are so many different approaches but I'll take a stab anyway.
I've been adding quite a bit of extras to my boat, like most people do after time, i.e. flat screen tv, nice binoculars, ice maker, etc. and have become more concerned about the security of my...
I've completed two boating safety classes and the two main items they stress are, no surprise, pfd's and fire extingusihers.
After the instructor showed some slides of some boat fires, it made me really take notice about where to locate mine.
I have the automatic one in the engine room of course...
I have two fridges on my 340: one in the cabin and one in the cockpit...which seems like a waste to me...I really only need one.
I'd love to have an icemaker in place of the cockpit fridge....anyone ever swap one out?
If so, what brand and are you glad you did?
The battery terminal (port side) rocker switch does not light in the cabin circuit panel. It does work fine though, but I'd like to replace it.
Any idea how to do it?
Or is there just a bulb somewhere that can be replaced?
Thanks...
Is it just me or does this company take your money, promise to deliver your boat, and then constantly make excuses about the weather to keep from delivering it?
This has gone on for 6 weeks now and there's no end in sight :(
Which would you value more (lets use a 340DA as an example since I just bought one!)....an older model with low hours or a newer model with higher hours?
In other words, what is the value ratio between how old a boat is vs how many hours it has on it?
Lets' be specific for sake of argument: How...
I'm finally ready to step up in size from my 280 to either the 330 or 340. I'm confused, however, because I want a relatively late model and I think they changed the design around or discontinued one or the other.
The only thing I'm concerned about is I want the double helm seat AND the single...
Both the mirror mounted on the inside of the head door and the mirror inside the aft cabin cabinets on my 280 are coming loose. I'm afraid I may damage the mirror if I don't use the right adhesive...any suggestions?
Thanks!
I have all the SR brochures and every express cruiser shows the boat without any canvas attached above the windshield,
which we all know, is rarely done.
So what happens if you leave the canvas off and it rains on the helm?
That can't be a good thing...no matter what!
So, is it fair to...
I don't take credit for this, it was in another,
older thread. But I recently installed one
and it works like a charm. Cost under $30
on Internet.

This thing is amazing and seems to give everything a powerboater could need, all on a large easy to read display.

But, in order to install it, I have to drill a big honking hole through the bottom of my hull and do not want to take chances...
Lately, there have been a rash of break ins in my area...both in-water winter storage at my club and outdoor shrink wrapped storage in boat yards... really a lot more than ever before it seems.
My question is geared towards when the summer season starts, and is:
what are your opinions and/or...
