Jim, the move in schedule has SeaRays moving in first. That makes sense since they are always at the very end of Ego Alley. It's gotta be Clarks Landing.
I belong to a yacht club. Based on my limited experience, yacht clubs tend to be cheaper than comparable marinas. Chesapeake Yacht Club, where I stay, is a not for profit corporation. There's no owner making money off of you. Slips, meals, fuel, etc. all cost me what it costs the club. I...
Tom and Linda, Canyon Club is very nice. I was there earlier this year and I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The walk is not so bad. You just have to take the bridge over the canal and you're on the more happening side. Try the brick oven restaurant. I forget what it's called, but it's right...
Gents, I'm going to have to back out. I'm stuck on land until the first week of August. At least I'll make Rock Hall for the Pirates thing. Hope to see you all there.
We're missing a picture of the dock hand putting his foot and leg clear through a crumbling plank on the dock and the bloated, dead carp that served as a marker for the RC boat slalom course.
Josh, as much as I would like to go, I'm committed to going to Crisfield for crab derby. We've got 9 boats, a few of which you met this weekend. Now, there's room at Somers Cove Marina so if you'd like to venture just a little further South...
Andreas,
Yacht Basin doesn't have a pool. Other than Mears, try Port Annapolis or Annapolis Landing. Both on Back Creek and both have pools. You can water taxi downtown from either of them.
In St. Michaels, you can also try Harbour Inn Marina and Spa if they don't have room at St...
OK, looks like I'll be there after all. Still trying to hammer out whether I can make it Friday also, or just Saturday, but we'll be there for the pot luck on Saturday night.
... and I have a margarita machine so Stan won't have to dinghy his over.
Just found out my mom has broken a bone in her foot. She will not be able to travel by boat and I was planning on bringing her to this. Regretably, I'm going to need to cancel this boat trip. I'll still try to come by land, but that's not a given.
"Life is what happen between the things...
I'm with Josh. Let's stick to the original date and just raft out and dinghy around. Since we're not going to claim the beach, are we now just looking at an overnight raftup?
Another beautiful day! Frankly, I enjoyed the practice more than I did the actual show. The show lasted a little over an hour, but yesterday's practice started around 1000 and went on/off until after 1600. There were about twice as many boats today, too. What a zoo!
Anyway, it was...
Just got back from the practice. What a beautiful day. The Blue Angels were awesome, as usual. They were flying almost directly over the boat. There's basically no bad view from the designated anchorage. I've seen the Blue Angels a bunch of times, but this is by far the best way to see...

Looks like on Tuesday they do a show rehearsal and Wednesday they do the show for the graduation. From what I hear, the rehearsal is as good as the show. I'll be there for both.
