    Thanks, How fast is the 260? I have the twin 165 hp in mine, but really don't want to race anyone.

    Structure seems very sound. Hull is solid, That's what I like about some of the older boats, They hand laid most of the glass and were proud of the product they produced, not "will it make it just past the warranty period" like now-a-days.

    Not right now. The experience I've had with outboards and reliability has not left me real confident of using them.

    Don't really have a budget yet. One engine has already been rebuilt, other engine has elbow off and looks like flapper is missing. Will probably upgrade to electronic ignition. Will just spend enough to get them and sterb drives running before I sink too much into the rest of it.

    I can now relate to many of you. Just got my newbie toy, a 1974 Sea Ray 240 Flybridge. Free!! It has 2-165 hp mercruisers with Pre-Alpha stern drives. Also came with Humminbird LCR 8000 and VHF radio, along with a Loran SeaRanger ALN 200 (which I have to find out if it is still usable). Pictures...

    Hi. Just joined and I am a new owner of what appears to be a 1974 240 Fly Bridge. trying to find out exact model, but even Sea Ray can't seem to help. Would like to canvass specs though if possible.
