At a loss. Just got my new Vimar dimmer switch, wired it just like the last one, it cut on for a second then shut off. Is something wired wrong? I can’t afford to keep killing switches $70 at a time.

Hello everyone. First post here. I somehow shorted all portside outlets when turning on my generator. I’m hoping it’s just a GFCI issue. I plan to try and find the GFCI outlet tomorrow, but if anyone can tell me the location for the one of the port side, I’d appreciate it, and it’ll save me time.
