Anyone know where to get a replacement aft bench seat latch? I believe it's part #963421 from the parts manual (1997). It's the part on the underside of the aft bench that holds it in place when you pull out the seat. Tried Google, Flounder Pounder, GG Schmitt, and Boat Outfitters.

I had the same 2 symptoms (excessive exhaust plus unburned fuel) and also decreased performance (had to give it more throttle to get to same RPM's as other engine) and it turns out it was 1 bad plug and 1 broken wire, so only running on 6 of 8 cylinders.

I'm having this long cranking problem as well, it's a 7.0 BCG from 1997. My parts manual says it's #037968, and sure enough an online search is showing over $500 for it. Can you point me in the direction of an alternative part?

Most of the problems I’ve had with things that operate from switches at the helm were with the switches themselves. New switch, problem solved. I’d start there.
