Disappointed would be an understatement! I would be seriously pissed off if I had to repower my Express with those kind of hours. I would think they would go for a few thousand hours with the right maintenance.
I think Curtiss was asking me about my Express because I posted in this thread.
If he wants to take his question to me over to the thread below:

I'll be happy to discuss my boat. Otherwise...
I am familiar with the panel under the helm and the push-button breakers there. After spending some more time poking around under that area I found three 8-gauge wires cut and taped off. They have the small wire labels on them that indicate they come from the Main DC breaker panel under the...
I have an electrical question I hope someone can answer. On my '97 330 Express Cruiser under the cabin steps I have a DC Main Beaker Panel. There are three 50 amp breakers labeled "control station", "cabin main" and "electronics". I know where the wires go for the control station and cabin...
I have not yet found a tag on the Airmar B44 transducer cable so I don't know if it was originally installed on a B&G or a Raymarine data instrument. Could have been either one. If I knew what was installed originally I would know if I could reuse that transducer.
Is there a way to contact Sea Ray and find out exactly what electronics were installed when my 1997 330 Express was built?
I have a Airmar B44 transducer on the port side that looks original. I am wondering what fishfinder or instrument it was originally connected to.

Agreed. Sounds like one to move some serious weight, not open & close the vent window. I have learned a long time ago that it often doesn't pay to try to go cheap on certain things.

Frank,
Thank you for the details. I will remove the actuator this week and take some measurements. The motor is dead, so I cannot power cycle it, but I'm sure I can determine the length of the stroke by measuring the actuator and how far the window opens.

Folks,
I hoping I can find an actuator motor for the windshield vent on my '97 330 Express.
Probably not vessel specific, but I'm not sure.
Otherwise, I may see if a motor shop can rebuild it.
Thanks,
Hi Ken,
Yep. Met up at the fuel dock at Antioch Marina with Commodore & Mr. Halling.
I was gassing up for a run up to Bethel Island for three days.
Boat is awesome. Runs great & everything works as it should.
I told the Halling's you were partly responsible for me owning this boat.
We had a...
Actually, I do.
When I bought my Express it had a Raychart 610 and Raypilot 650.
Neither were hooked up, so I cannot guarantee they work.
They are yours for the cost to ship them.
