I have a 2006 sea ray sundancer 240. The trim guage is not working for the outdrive.. it reads that is all the way up. (which its not) . the digital reading isn't working either.. any ideas?

I live in lake Tahoe, which is 6250 ft in elevation. The water is probably 55-69 degrees and the outside temperature seldom reaches the high 80s.. id say 75-80 is an average summer temperature. I have a merc 5.0L 265 hp motor. about 225 hrs on it..
its got to be the containment box, (under the step leading down to the galley), leaking or over flowing.. that box has a pump in it and takes the water from the sink and the bath vanity and or shower...check to see if the pump in that box is working.
I have a little oil.. maybe an ounce or so of oil in my bilge.. I checked the oil in the motor and it is fine.. it looks like gear oil but im not sure.. is this normal or cause for concern???

thanks.i just ordered a double 18p with 4 blades on each.. the front prop is 1/2" smaller and the back prop is 1/8" larger.. im optimistic this will help a lot..
check your outdrive gear lube levels..if its low that will cause the alarm to activate..its mounted on the side of the engine u should be able to see it clearly..
