Hi Chymer, the new swim platform looks good. I noticed in your pics that before you put on the new swim, you have a pedestal mount for a bbq by the ladder. I bought one and was wondering where the best place to mount it was. How did you like the bbq mount by the ladder? I was thinking of putting...
Hi Chymer, I have a 1990 220 da. I was able to remove one of the panels in the aft cabin. It was a little tricky, as it's a tight fit. Remove all the screws on the panel and use something to hook under the bottom of the panel and pull towards you. I used the hook on the end of a bungee cord to...
I let the marina take care of my engine winterizing. I did the plumbing myself, but I don't trust myself doing the engine. I'd rather dish out the winterizing fee than pay for a new engine.

Fenlon Falls is where I got the final itch to buy a boat finnlander. My wife and I would ride out there on our motorcycles and drool over the boat passing through the locks. I envy you, as you are in an awesome area for boating.
To all the others....thank you for the welcome. Whenever I need to...
I like the heated trailer idea jxg. We have a single garage and i sure miss parking the car in it.
@ greyzone....that's a nice collection of bikes you have. I have a Road king Classic and my wife has an 883 Sportster.
I change the oil, filter, transmission and primary fluids. i give them a wash and wax, polish the chrome, clean up the leather and add some gas stabilizer. Hook up a battery tender, cover them up...then just about cry.

If you own bike you know what I'm going through. just had the marina winterize my boat. I now have the sad chore of winterizing our two Harley's. I feel like I've lost loved ones.

Hi, I'm a newbie member and boat owner as of September 13th...yes, we bought a boat on Friday the 13th. Our (new to us) Sea Ray 220 DA is our 1st boat. With winter around the corner, learned the ropes real fast. We only had our boat out about 8 times. Looking forward to the 2014 season.

I went to my marina today to check on the winterizing of my boat. I saw the boats in my section were being raised. I walked in to check mine out...and it was gone. I walked down to where the guys were working and asked about the Sea Ray from slip 56. One of the guys told me they had to move it...
Thanks mwph, I checked the tank, pump etc. I ended up finding the leak. It was at the fresh water filler opening. water was leaking around the collar where the hose attaches to the fitting. I had to pull the cabin panel off to access it.

I just drained my fresh water tank and purified it with bleach and water on my 220 DA. After I drained the tank, I added some vinegar and water to get the bleach smell out of the water. While cleaning the aft cabin, I noticed water was leaking on the port side. The bottom of the wall fabric...

We finally got our boat in the water on Saturday. Picked her up on Friday the 13th... ( I will never purchase anything on a Friday the 13th again) Anyway...that's another story. We took her out on the lake yesterday and we were pleased with the performance and handling. Spent a few hours today...
Hi all, just joined this forum. We are picking up our 1990 220 DA in the morning. This is our first boat, my wife and I are as excited as if it was our first child. I will post some pics after she gets here safely, and I come back to reality.
