I have a seat that the seam has burst… I repaired the seam, but need the vinyl paint to make it right.
I also have several small blemishes I’d like to touch up.
There is a company in Canada that will color match vinyl for refurbishment.
I’ve searched, but can’t find them… anyone have the company name or contact information?
The SEM products don’t have a match for my 2008 210 select Fission edition vinyl
So, I called the mechanic, he was here in 15 minutes. Electrical connector at the DTS actuator had come apart. It has two screws that hold the terminal housing in place to the actuator arm and a small threaded tube that each end of the electrical cable screw into.
I’m guessing they removed this...
2008 210 select “Fission”, 350 mag, electronic DTS. 435 hours
First the trim buttons stopped working. After a restart, they work again, now it will not go into reverse.
The drive will not completely stop turning forward when the controller is in neutral, so I cannot reverse the prop blades...
Your boat is painted?
Gel coat?
Either way a bit of compound on a foam
Pad, rag or sponge & some elbow grease... follow up with whatever you “wax” your boat with.
I’m wondering how the Hull shapes difference might impact the ride. The water here gets very chopped up when the lake is busy... wales from every direction!
Hmmm, I’ll need to check on the winterization thing!
The swim platform is a big deal to us... the kids are all over the sun pad, swapping riders and wrangling gear. Our boat is busy maybe 5 or 6 weekends and usually one whole week each summer being used for slinging kids around. Probably...
I’ve owned two boats; a ‘94 SeaRay 200 select, and my current ‘08 210 select Fission. Both with 350 engine.
So, all I know is I/O bowrider.
I’m looking to trade up to a 23-25’ model. We will be buying used, probably 2012-2014 model years.
We live lake front in Virginia. My wife and I are both...
Okay, after replacing the fuel filter, cleaning the Map sensor and testing the ECT sensor... the problem was EXACTLY what the first responders to this post suggested... Spark Plugs!!!
What a PITA to replace. Getting the wires off and back on is the difficult task, changing the plugs themselves...
Thank you.
I think I’ll take it to a mechanic with the ability to check for error codes. I’m guessing if the problem is this or another sensor, it should show a code.
Thanks for the very succinct explanation. I’ve fiddled with AFR (air/fuel ratio) monitoring and tuning on my 1930’s designed motorcycle engine, but have never delved into FI systems.
So what are these MAP sensor inputs?
I’ve never heard the terminology “fuel trim” I'm assuming it has to do with fuel injection metering into the throttle body.
Interesting... I’ll see if I can identify the two wire sensor.
I’ve watched the engine temp gauge... engine warms up quickly, and stabilizes.
I don’t have “coolant” per se, just seawater... if I were in the sea!
I’ll check to see if the smart gauge has a water temp reading.
Thank you.
The copper on rotor was worn to a point on one side of the end and the distributer cap contacts were corroded with white buildup.
I’m not convinced wires or plugs, if defective, would get better when things warm up... but maybe I’m wrong about that!
I posted this in the sport boat forum, but thought this may be the more correct forum!
