Ok, just finished the survey. Some issues, as expected. Two propellers had a slight ding in them, the bottom 2 inches of the skeg is corroded (broken?) off. The bottom paint is several layers thick, and not super smooth so at some point recommended it be sandblasted off and smooth coat applied...

New to this thread - Looking at an '01 240SD w/ 518 hrs. Well maintained, has had only one owner. Boat is very clean looking inside, cushions and floor in very good shape, bottom has been painted. Short of the survey, does $18,000 sound like a good price?

Thank you all for your advise and encouragement! I have had a very busy week and not able to spend anytime boat hunting. But, tomorrow I have an appointment at Rex Marina in Norwalk to look at a few 240 SD's. Will keep you posted!
