I have the same difficulty when filling the freshwater tank in our 270. I think the tank can't vent quick enough when filling with a good stream of water. I just slow the fill hose down to a good trickle and about 15 minutes later the tank is full.

We had the same problem. Grohe was the brand and replacement valve cartridges ran about 100 bucks a piece. I found a reasonably (40 Bucks) priced lavatory faucet at a home improvement store and replace the whole unit.

Hmm. No rubber sealed rocker on ours. Do the hot and cold supply lines have water pressure?

Our 270 came with triple batteries. I'll climb inside her a take some pics in the next couple days. All three batteries sit directly in front of hot water heater. Not real handy come winterization time. I've threatened to relocate them to the generator compartment, since we have plenty of room...

    newbie help with 270da-300da

Semper Fi. Thanks for your Service. I appreciate the maneuverability when equipped with twins. Launching and loading our 270 while alone keeps you in shape. Docking alone in a swift crosswind teaches patience. I highly recommend fuel injected over carbs. I may know of a boat that may interest...

    Tachometer repair

Hello, Our 98 270 SDA starboard tachometer functions great. The downside is the faceplate has rotated within the gauge to the point of being exactly upside down covering the hour meter. Can this be repaired? Or is replacement necessary? Thanks

    Trailering a 2005 280 sundancer

We trailer our 270 and tow with a 3/4 ton diesel without problems. We occasionally do interstate highway travel and never worry about over width permit. At 9'2" wide, I'm just gonna plead ignorance. In Ohio you can get a blanket permit (year long) for oversize loads which is what we do for our...

Hello and thanks for your service in the Navy Swanny32. You may find more info on your boat in the "Mid 90's 270 Thread". I can't help you with the rarity of having twins in the narrow 270. I do know of two other in existence identical to yours. The "Late 90's Thread" is for the 9'2" beam which...

Our 270 had same problem too, shower pump was working and liquid still gathered in hull. Took me a while to notice that the screw holding the clamp on the condensation pan drain line was missing. This allowed the line to raise just enough that it would not drain the pan. Pan would fill and...

The shower bilge pump cannot be manually tested on our 270. I have replaced the shower pump and have since trained my ear to listen for it while showering. If it does not kick on, you have a mess on your hands!

Switch is located in switch panel to the left of the steering wheel. Middle row of switches. I may be wrong!

I have tried many searching a few threads for a solution to my problem. Problem is I have to run a new cable from new stereo in cabin to a new wired remote at the helm. Does anyone have info on how to get cable around V-berth by possibly removing upholstered panels and such? Also would...

This is our first season with our 270 and all 3 Interstate batteries (4 years old) were independently load checked and found to be OK. I highly recommend Interstate brand, our previous boats Interstate batteries lasted 7 seasons! We trailer our 270 and I usually plug in shore power a day ahead...

According to my owners manual the LO error code is caused by low refrigerant or restricted airflow. This is from a Cruisair manual with SMX 2 control panel. Hope this helps.

Any suggestions on replacing the radio? We enjoyed the bluetooth capability and pandora, i-phone capability of our previous boat. I believe it was a Clarion, same as the factory system is in our 270. We don't need a CD player. Anyone have a TV in the cabin? If so where is it located?

Hello everyone, i'm glad I stumbled on to this forum. We recently purchased a 98 270 DA with no genny and I have some questions. 1. Curious to find out how long fridge will run on 12v before a battery is dead? 2. In the galley area to the starboard of cooktop what does the other switch control?
